[October 06, 2011]  The men's soccer team at Lincoln College has jumped back into the NJCAA polls to No. 16 in the nation. The team is coming off a big win at home against Region 24 opponent Parkland College to stay undefeated in Region 24 play at 6-0. Lincoln's overall record is 9-3, with all three losses coming early in the season to teams currently ranked in the top 15 of this week's poll.

The Lynx have two more region games on the road. They will play at Lincoln Land on Thursday and then a rescheduled game with Lewis and Clark on Oct. 16. If the team is able to win these last two region games, it will be back-to-back undefeated seasons in Region 24 for head coach Ben Massena.

With just one more win in Region 24 play, Lincoln will secure the No. 1 seed in the Region 24 tournament. This means the Lynx would play at home for all Region 24 tournament games.

The winner of the Region 24 tournament will play a district game against the winning team from Region 11. The winner of the district game will go on to the NJCAA national tournament. Last year, the Lincoln College men's soccer team finished fifth in the nation.
