[October 07, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Crown Publishers and the popular website RealClearPolitics.com are teaming up for a four-book series that aims to document the presidential campaign in something close to real time.

Crown announced Friday that the first installment, "The Battle Begins," will come out Nov. 4 as an e-book only. After two more e-books next year, a fourth release is scheduled for after Election Day and will be available digitally and on paper. The writers will be RealClear co-founder Thomas Bevan and Washington editor Carl M. Cannon.

A similar election year partnership between old and new media was announced over the summer by Random House and Politico. Random House and Crown are both imprints of Random House Inc.
