[October 06, 2011]  Jeff Neal is the kind of person who gives 100 percent, is always willing to help anyone and never complains, according to a co-worker at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Jeff, who works in environmental services, started his position a little less than a year ago when ALMH was in the old building.

"Jeff came in as a new employee right during the move period. Because of that, he had to learn the new hospital and the old hospital at the same time," said the anonymous co-worker. "He worked many overtime hours to ensure we were prepared for our transition into the new hospital. He is so respectful to all of his co-workers. Jeff is truly an asset to our hospital."

Before coming to ALMH, Jeff was a self-employed finish carpenter for 20 years. His day-to-day job now is spent cleaning patient and operating rooms, as well as various hospital departments and public areas.

"You have to have a desire to clean, work with a lot of different people, and be patient and respectful," he said. "I really enjoy my co-workers who make it a fun place to work. The people are very friendly and supportive."

ALMH employs 290 in a variety of roles. Each month someone is honored as Employee of the Month.
