[October 08, 2011]  The St. John United Church of Christ Youth Group will again offer the drive-up service for St. John's Germanfest celebration on Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Serving will be in the same location as in previous years, alongside the east parking lot of the former hospital location. The fences are down, and barricades will help direct traffic in that same area, entering off Eighth Street, as before.

The same menu will be offered under the tents on the church parking lot, with the Alley Kats Band performing during the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. food serving. The church parking lot is on the corner of Maple and Eighth streets in Lincoln.

The Market Strasse, with craft and home show vendors and a used book sale, will be in the church Fellowship Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The familiar menu of brats (with or without bun), German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut, applesauce, and choice of apple strudel or German chocolate cake will be offered for $9. A choice of a hot dog meal with hot dog, chips, applesauce and choice of dessert will be available for $3.50.

Free delivery service in town is also available for prepaid orders of six or more. Tickets are available prior to Saturday from church members or by calling the office at 732-6957.
