[October 08, 2011]  Shoe Sensation, a regional chain of family shoe stores selling quality, name-brand shoes, has announced that they will open a store in Lincoln in November.

According to Phillip McElhinny, director of talent management, the new store will be located in Heritage Plaza, in the former Salvation Army Thrift Store space.

McElhinny said the property owners are going to do work inside the building first. Then, by the end of October or the first of November, Shoe Sensation will begin moving in fixtures and inventory.

McElhinny has been in town this week conducting interviews for management positions with the store. He said he is still looking for talent. Anyone who is interested can go to the employment section of LDN classifieds and learn more.

He also noted that the company will host a job fair Oct. 20 and 21. LDN will also have information regarding this in their classified section beginning Oct.13.

A grand opening event is slated for Nov. 10, and McElhinny said he is really excited.

"We're happy to be coming to Lincoln," he said. "We look forward to becoming a part of the community and hope to see everyone come out to our grand opening."
