The Royal Collection's
exhibitions coordinator, Stephen Weber, from Texas, poses for photographs
Tuesday with the British flag that the late explorer
Capt. Robert F. Scott carried on his ill-fated expedition. The flag
is backdropped by a
bust of King George V at the Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace, London.
The flag was found with Scott's body in November
1912 after his party of explorers perished as they returned after arriving at the
South Pole to find that Roald Amundsen's Norwegian
team had beaten them by a month. The flag is
due to appear in an exhibition that opens to the public on Oct. 21 to mark the centenary of the race to
the South Pole.
Breastfeeding Myth: It is
normal for breastfeeding to hurt. Not true! Though some
tenderness during the first few days is relatively
common, this should be a temporary situation which lasts
only a few days and should never be so bad that the
mother dreads nursing.
For more information,
contact the breastfeeding peer counselor at the Logan
County Department of Public Health, 217-735-2317, ext.
