[October 11, 2011]  SOUTH HOLLAND -- The Lincoln College men's soccer team saw its winning streak end yesterday to South Suburban College. Despite outshooting their opponents 12-3 and having the ball 85 percent of the time, the Lynx couldn't capitalize on their chances and lost in overtime by the score of 2-1.

"South Suburban had a good game plan by dropping off and getting numbers behind the ball and made it really tough to get in behind or create anything in front of goal," said Lincoln coach Ben Massena. "They played very direct and scored on two of the three shots. As a team we have to do better at being patient in these situations and look to score when we do create chances."

Lincoln moves to 11-4, while the South Suburban record turns to 12-5.

Lincoln takes on Greenville College JV today at 1 p.m.
