The bricks cost $20, and proceeds will benefit ALHF. Each
numbered brick has a plaque and comes with a certificate. Five
hundred bricks were set aside during the demolition of the old
hospital to be offered for sale.
Bricks will be sold in the administration offices at ALMH, 200
Stahlhut Dr., as well as in the ALMH Gift Shop in the hospital lobby
and at the Pink Shutter, 114 N. McLean. The hospital hours are 8
a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the Pink Shutter is open
Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Also, ALHF will sell the commemorative bricks during St. John
United Church of Christ's Germanfest on Saturday from 12:30 to 3
p.m.
The bricks will be available only while quantities last. If you
are interested in owning a piece of ALMH history, you may purchase
one by cash, check or credit card. If you have questions, please
contact the ALHF at 605-5007.
