 Phi Theta Kappa is a junior college academic honor society. To be
eligible for membership, students must have a cumulative grade-point
average of 3.5 or higher and have earned a minimum of 15 credits at
Lincoln College.Each semester, the chapter has an induction
ceremony for its new members. Assistant Professors Spring Hyde and
Barbra Burdett serve as faculty advisers to the group and led the
Sept. 25 ceremony. Guest speaker was William Donath, who serves as
president of the Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society and
is also an alumnus of Lincoln College and Iota Chi.
Inductees were Alejandro Arreola, Dustin Carlisle, Brandie Centi,
Blake Clowers, Tenee Crockett, Gretchen Deters, Courtney DeYoung,
Vanessa Gomez, Edward Johnson, Hamza Malik, Kristine Naylon, Kristin
Petrelli, Richard Russell, James Thompson, Wyatt Wallen, Stellajean
Wilson and Krystal Woodworth.
Phi Theta Kappa and the Iota Chi chapter dedicate themselves to
four hallmarks: service, scholarship, fellowship and leadership.
Activities of the chapter include a yearlong campaign to improve
literacy.
