The world's largest yogurt maker reported sales of euro4.81 billion ($6.63 billion), an increase of 5.9 percent over the same period in 2010.The quarter did see a pullback from the previous one, when sales were euro4.97 billion.
Fresh dairy products make up more than half of its revenue, but much of the company's growth was in baby food.
The company is also gaining ground in Asia, which accounts for less than a quarter of its current sales but grew nearly 20 percent.
Danone is expecting 6 to 8 percent sales growth for the year and said 2012 figures would be strong as well.
