The first game was against Zion Lutheran. WLB won by a score
of 32-3. Kaelyn Froebe led all scoring with 16 points, while Kennedy
Lolling added another eight points. Froebe also led in steals with
13, as Emerie Wieber and Haley Hicks added seven steals each. Ali
Wilson led in rebounding with four. The girls continued their
winning streak on Saturday as they defeated CEL by a score of 45-2.
Froebe and Ali Wilson led in scoring with 12 points each. Wilson and
Emma Konczyk led the rebounding side with nine boards each. Kennedy
Lolling and Morgan Lolling used their quickness and grabbed seven
steals each.
The last game the Lady Wolverines needed to clinch the
championship was against CCS/NHM. The Lady Wolverines pulled away
with a 41-10 victory. Froebe led all scoring with 12 points as
Wilson and Kennedy Lolling added 10 points each. Wilson also led in
rebounding, grabbing 10 boards, while Froebe led in steals with 10.
Monday night games
With the weekend ending on a great note, Lady Wolverine
basketball was host to Zion Lutheran on Monday. The seventh-grade
team came out playing a fantastic defensive game as they pulled off
the victory with a score of 29-14.
Wilson led the Lady Wolverines with seven points, as Froebe and
Kennedy Lolling each added six. Megan Joseph led in both rebounding
and steals. She grabbed six rebounds and had eight steals. Autumn
Hoffert grabbed another five steals.
The seventh-grade Lady Wolverine basketball team improved their
record to 4-2 on the season. They were scheduled to face the Illini
Central Cougars in Easton on Tuesday.

The Lady Wolverine eighth-grade team has also been successful so
far this year. Before Monday night's contest, their record stood at
6-2. The eighth-grade team came out with a determination in their
eyes not to lose on their home court, and they didn't. They defeated
Zion Lutheran by a score of 25-17.
Emily Martinez led the scoring attack with eight points, while
Brook Soebbing chipped in another six. Kate Benner led in
rebounding, pulling down 12 boards. Kaylyn Hoffert led the defensive
attack with seven steals.
The eighth-grade Lady Wolverines improved to 7-2 on the season.
They, too, were to travel to Easton on Tuesday to play versus the
Illini Central Cougars.
