LC student dies

[October 19, 2011]  Logan County Coroner Robert Thomas has released a statement saying that Brett Malmquist, age 21, of Yuma, Ariz., was pronounced dead at 1:41 p.m. Tuesday at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

The Lincoln Police Department is handling the investigation. Assistant Police Chief Mike Geriets confirmed that Malmquist was a student at Lincoln College

The autopsy will be performed today (Wednesday) in Springfield.

Peasley Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
