[October 22, 2011]  The Lincoln College men's soccer team is hosting the first round of playoffs on Saturday with a game beginning at noon versus Danville Area College.

Danville was the only Region 24 team to score on the Lynx during the regular season this year. Lincoln won their first meeting 4-3 in overtime.

The Lynx closed out an undefeated season for Region 24 last weekend for their second consecutive region championship.

Head coach Ben Massena is looking for his second trip to nationals after last year's fifth-place finish. A win Saturday against Danville will put the Lynx in the Region 24 championship tournament. The winner there will play a district game versus the Missouri Region, with that winner heading to NJCAA nationals.
