OCTOBER 19

ROMAN SHADES 

Meijer is recalling "Innovations" and "At Home with Meijer" Roman shades and roll-up blinds sold nationwide from March 2010 to September 2011.

Strangulation can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.

This recall involves previously recalled "Innovations" and "At Home with Meijer" Roman shades and roll-up blinds that were redistributed to stores and sold to consumers after March 2010 without a repair kit. A label reading "Innovation" or "At Home with Meijer" can be found under the headrail.

CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS 

ADT Security Services Inc. is recalling CO 1224T Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors installed by ADT between October 2008 and December 2010. When the CO detectors reach the end of their useful life, they should send a signal to make a sound in the home alarm panel alerting consumers it is time to replace them and a signal to ADT's alarm monitoring center. Some of the detectors were not wired properly to the ADT alarm system, resulting in the sound not going off in the home alarm panel and no signal to the ADT alarm monitoring center at the end of its useful life. 

This recall involves hard-wired carbon monoxide detectors with model CO 1224T installed by ADT. The model number is behind the front cover. 

Consumers should contact ADT at (800) 238-2727 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit www.us.adt.com for a free inspection of the recalled detectors and, if necessary, a free repair. More info at www.recalls.org

BATTERY CHARGERS 

Horizon Hobby Inc. is recalling Losi NiMH Start-Up Combo Charger sold nationwide and in Canada from January 2011 to March 2011. The charger and battery can emit excessive heat, posing a burn and fire hazard. 

The Losi NiMH Start-Up Combo Charger is black, measures 4" x 2" and has model number LOSB9904. The model number is printed on the back of the product's packaging with the bar code. A Losi logo sticker is on the front of the charger, along with another sticker bearing the instruction: "Use only with 7.2V NiMH Batteries 1500mAh or higher." On the back of the charger is a sticker with voltage and current ratings for input (100-240VAC, 1.0A) and output (8.5V, 3A) along with another Losi logo.

GUIDECRAFT TOYS 

Guidecraft Inc. is recalling Twist and Sort Toys sold nationwide from September 2009 to November 2010. The small pegs on three of the four posts can detach, posing a choking hazard. 

This recall involves Twist ‘n Sort wooden toys. The toy has a square base, four posts and twelve primary-colored game pieces that can be arranged to fit over the posts. Product number "712" is printed on underside of base.

BABY CARRIERS 

LittleLife is recalling LittleLife Discoverer Child Carriers sold in the United States and in Canada from January 2011 to July 2011. The carriers were sold without bolts that attach the carrier's main frame to the metal stand. Missing bolts cause the carrier to disconnect from the stand and fall backwards, posing a fall hazard. 

This recall involves LittleLife Discoverer child carriers. "LittleLife" is printed on the back of the carriers. Number LS55060 is printed on a tab sewn underneath the care label.

OCTOBER 21

CHILDREN'S MASKS 

Target Corp. is recalling Children's Frog Masks sold at Target stores nationwide from August 2011 to September 2011. The plush frog masks lack proper ventilation. When secured in place across a child's face, it presents a suffocation hazard. 

This recall involves child-sized frog-themed animal masks. The plush mask is green with yellow and red highlights. UPC code 06626491474 is printed on a label attached to the mask. 

Consumers should return the product to any Target store for a full refund.

BATTERY PACK 

Electric Motion Systems, LLC is recalling Rechargeable lithium-poly battery sold nationwide from October 2009 to November 2010. The battery can overheat and catch fire. 

The recalled product is a black lithium-poly 37 volt, 10Ah battery used in electric bicycles and propulsion systems. "E+" appears on a label on the side of the battery. Recalled batteries have "EMS# 11819-101" at the top right of the label with a serial number between 10001 and 10200. The batteries were sold on their own and as part of the E+ Flex Kits. 

Consumers should contact Electric Motion Systems, LLC at (877) 824-5339 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit www.epluselectricbike.com. If you own a flex kit, you will receive a free battery pack installed on a new front wheel for your electric bike. If you purchased just the battery, Electric Motion Systems, LLC will provide you one of several choices including a new, free frame to fit with your existing electric propulsion system.
