[October 25, 2011]  The Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership request the support of all residents for the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability hearing on Wednesday.

The hearing will be conducted by a bipartisan commission of 12 legislators from the House and Senate. Citizens, local officials and state legislators will be able to testify. The COGFA hearing will be our community's opportunity to explain to the state Legislature the impact the closing of Logan Correctional Center will have on Lincoln and Logan County.

The COGFA panel will vote on a recommendation about the closure of Logan Correctional Center, so it is imperative that our community shows its support.

Community members can help in one of four ways: Wear red on Wednesday; write a letter to the COGFA panel; testify orally or in writing about the impact this closure will have on you; and attend the hearing to fill the Lincoln Christian University chapel at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
