[October 26, 2011]  FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -- Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney says he is "110 percent" behind Ohio's ballot measure that would limit union rights.

HardwareRomney on Wednesday said he supports Ohio Gov. John Kasich's effort to uphold legislation restricting collective bargaining for public employees. Voters in Ohio are going to consider scrapping the law at the ballot box on Nov. 8.

A day earlier, Romney said he didn't have a position on the measure while he was visiting Ohio. It seemed to contradict earlier statements; months earlier, he wrote on Facebook that he supported the effort.

His rivals criticized him for not taking a strong stand against unions.

Romney says it was just a misunderstanding.
