Lincoln opened the scoring in the fourth minute on a corner kick
rebound that Adrien Sathler curled into the upper 90 of the goal.
"It was the start we had talked about all week -- jumping out and
scoring quickly," said Lincoln coach Ben Massena. "The boys did
exactly what we wanted."
Parkland would tie the score up later in the half when they hit a
great set piece around the wall into the far post past a stretching
Mario Alfaro. This was followed a few minutes later with Edwin
Moalosi scoring the game-winning goal off another corner kick. At
the end of the first half, Ruben Gayan slotted Moalosi again for the
third goal on a breakaway counterattack.
Parkland put the pressure on, but in a defense mindset, the Lynx
kept them off the board and got their fourth goal with seven seconds
left when Felix Cordoba was brought down in the box, which led to a
penalty that Gaytan took full advantage of, ending the match 4-1.

"We have focused on defense and set pieces all year," Massena
said. "Pregame, our talk has been jumping out in first 15 minutes
and winning the set piece battle. We showed today that we are a very
good team that defends well and can score goals at any time."
The Lynx take on ICC at noon Saturday at home.
