[October 27, 2011]  The West Lincoln-Broadwell board received a positive report at its meeting on Monday, including lists of honor roll students and finalists for the upcoming music festival.

In his report to the board, Superintendent-Principal Bailey Climer said the school had 98 percent attendance in the first quarter.

He noted that 10 students had passed music auditions on Oct. 10 in Petersburg and would be participating in the music festival on Nov. 5 at Western Illinois University, Macomb. Students who will attend the IMEA music festival are Brianna Lanning, Casey Mollohan, Kylee Alexander, Tabitha Cooley, Joy Chi, Amber Oliver, Abby Crowell, Mira Thompson, Paige Langley and Alison James.

A list of honor roll and high honors students was also distributed. Climer reminded the board that an adjustment had been made in requirements for the two categories within the honor roll. It dropped some students from high honors to honors, but the same students were maintaining exceptional results and would probably adjust to qualify for high honors before the end of the semester.
