Zion Lutheran Lady Eagles win in Decatur

[October 29, 2011]  DECATUR -- The Zion Lutheran School Lady Eagle eighth-grade basketball team won against Decatur-Lutheran School Association on Thursday by a score of 41-19.

ZLS scoring leaders were Lexie Groves with 18 and Hailie Williams pitching in 11. Also scoring were Brooklyn Hermes 6, Anna Sielaff 3, Anna Walters 2 and Tori Tripplett 1.

The Lady Eagle seventh-graders were outscored 39-6. Scoring for Zion were Tori Tripplett 4, Danielle Burgrabe 1 and Lauren Canady 1.

The eighth-grade Lady Eagles are currently 6-4 and the seventh-graders are 4-6.

The girls are coached by Todd Koehler and Bob Cox.

Next up for the Lady Eagles will be participation in the Logan County Athletic and Music Association eighth-grade tournament.
