The congregation of Zion
Lutheran Church in Lincoln had a double celebration yesterday at the church.
The church is celebrating 140 years, and they are also celebrating 60
years of ministry over the local radio station, WLLM.
After an excellent meal
prepared by chef Warren Wendlandt and staff, emcee Steve Sauer went
through highlights of the church's storied past. There were numerous
artifacts and pictures available to see during the evening.
The congregation also gave
donations to WLLM to help continue the work of
spreading the Gospel on the airwaves.
Just short of 200 were in
attendance for the event.
