Lawyer: TI moved elsewhere from Ga. halfway house

[September 02, 2011]  ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) -- A lawyer for rapper T.I. says the Grammy-winning artist has been moved by the Federal Bureau of Prisons from an Atlanta halfway house to another location.

Lawyer Steve Sadow told The Associated Press late Thursday that the federal prison agency "has moved T.I. to a different facility" because of a "transportation issue" involving the rapper's travel to the halfway house.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, traveled in a luxury motor coach bus at midweek from Arkansas to Atlanta to begin serving the rest of his time in the halfway house for a probation violation.

A Bureau of Prisons spokesman, reached late Thursday by AP, declined to comment on Sadow's report or where T.I. was relocated.

The prison agency's website says only that T.I. was "in transit."
