An
injured woman lies on the ground after being attacked by an elk (seen in
background) during an uphill race in Nittedal, some 30 kilometers north of Oslo, Norway,
on
Monday. The woman was not seriously injured. She was brought to a
hospital under suspicion of a broken leg, but with a little assistance she was
able to walk to the ambulance helicopter that picked her up. Local wild game
authorities are hunting the elk.

Carroll/Zion/New Holland-Middletown baseball team won
the county championship this weekend. The boys beat the No. 2 seed,
host Chester-East Lincoln,
in a 2-1 nail-biter. In the championship game against No. 1 seed
Hartsburg, they outscored their opponents 19-6 in five innings.
