[September 04, 2011]  Logan County State's Attorney Mike McIntosh issued a news release on Saturday stating he will not run for re-election when his term expires.

(Copy from email)

After much discussion with my family, I have decided not to run for reelection as Logan County State's Attorney. I have accomplished what I set out to accomplish when I ran for this office. I am truly thankful for all of the support I have received from so many people during the last several years. I look forward to being able to spend more time with my family.

I have encouraged First Assistant State's Attorney, Mr. Jonathan Wright, to run for Logan County State's Attorney. If he decides to run, I have full confidence that Mr. Wright will do an outstanding job as State' Attorney and he has my complete support.

Thank you,
Michael D. McIntosh
