"Stop fretting about the gloom and doom of oil," Blue Ocean Brokerage said in a report. "We can't make this stuff fast enough even in a weak economic scenario. It's a finite commodity with infinite demand." In other Nymex trading for October contracts, heating oil fell 0.5 cents at $3.04 per gallon and gasoline futures dropped 1.8 cents at $2.87 per gallon. Natural gas for October delivery gained 0.3 cents to $3.98 per 1,000 cubic feet.
