[September 12, 2011]  WEST CHICAGO -- The first-ever IESA state golf tournament was at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago on Saturday. Four Lincoln girls competed in the state finals.

West Lincoln-Broadwell seventh-grader Isabelle Stiefvater finished in 15th place in the division for seventh- and eighth-grade girls. She had an 18-hole score of 122.

Zion Lutheran from Lincoln was led by Lexie Groves with a 142 in 23rd place. Rachel Lockenour and Hailie Williams also competed for Zion.

The division was led by sisters Myah and Erica Jackson of Chicago Skinner West. Myah shot a 74, closely followed by Erica's 79. Third place went to Taylor Nesselroad of Galesburg Costa with a 93.

No Lincoln area boys were entered in the state finals.
