This
month some long-awaited repairs
are being done
on the railroad
crossings that
belong to
Canadian
National
Railway. The
work began last
week with the
crossing on
Illinois Route 10 and
this week has
moved to the
crossing on
North Kickapoo.
Tuesday evening,
Lincoln
Alderwoman Marty Neitzel said she
had to take a
detour to get
from her home in
Mayfair to City
Hall, but it was
a detour she was
happy to take.
Neitzel has been
a proponent of
getting these
crossings
improved, and
when she heard
last month that
work would be
done in
September, she
was very
excited.
