[September 20, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- A memoir that Reynolds Price was working on at the time of his death will be published next year, with a foreword by Anne Tyler.

Scribner spokesman Brian Belfiglio said Monday that "Midstream: An Unfinished Memoir" would come out in May 2012.

The book is billed as "the fourth and final memoir" by the acclaimed Price, who died in January at age 77. He was known for such novels as "A Long and Happy Life" and for the memoir "Clear Pictures."

Tyler, author of "The Accidental Tourist" and the Pulitzer Prize-winning "Breathing Lessons," studied under Price at Duke University.
