[September 23, 2011]  Alicia Robinson has been hired to coach the cheer and dance teams at Lincoln College. She is a former Lincoln Railer basketball cheerleader and is currently the head cheerleading coach at Lincoln High School.

The Lincoln College team's first performance will be on Oct. 29 during "Meet the Lynx" night with the men's basketball team. Festivities will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Center with introductions of both teams. The night will be filled with excitement with a 3-point shooting contest, slam-dunk contest, a 20-minute scrimmage and performances by the cheer and dance teams.

Robinson has been involved with cheerleading over the last 10 years as a member of a team and as a judge for many cheerleading tryouts. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, where she was a member of the cheer team.

"We are excited to find someone as qualified as Ali to be in charge of our cheer and dance teams," said Dave Klemm, director of athletics. "We have many student-athletes participating in this program, and we feel Ali will do a great job continuing to build this program."
