[September 23, 2011]  CENTRALIA -- The Lincoln College women's soccer team (0-5) lost to Kaskaskia College (8-1) 7-0 in Centralia on Thursday.

The Lynx started off the game slowly. Rain and wet field conditions allowed Kaskaskia to score on a goal that skipped past keeper Brittany Ashburn in the early minutes. The Lynx were down 6-0 at the half but held Kaskaskia to one goal in the second half.

"We started out very slow," said Lincoln coach Amber Angermeier. "The field was slick, and Kaskaskia took advantage early, putting us in a hole. I give the ladies credit for battling the full 90 minutes and holding Kaskaskia to one goal in the second half."
