[September 22, 2011]  At 2:37 Thursday afternoon the jury in the case of Ty Cline notified Judge Thomas Harris that they had reached a verdict.

Cline was being tried on a first-degree murder charge in the 2009 death of 2-year-old Lucas Alberts.

By 3 p.m. all parties, including Cline, his attorneys Jay Elmore and Jeff Page, Assistant State's Attorney Jonathan Wright, and the jury, were assembled in the courtroom.

The verdict was handed over to Harris, who announced Cline had been found guilty.

Cline will be held without bond until his sentencing Dec. 1.
