[September 23, 2011]  The Lincoln Area Ministerial Association will have its first meeting of the fall on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This meeting will hosted by Pastor Robert Long and Abundant Life House of Praise.

The ministerial association consists of area pastors and affiliate ministries in and around Lincoln. They gather monthly September-May (except December) for a time of prayer, food, fellowship and in an effort to work together in reaching the city of Lincoln and beyond with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

They plan and participate in two community services each year: Good Friday and Thanksgiving eve. At these two services, offerings are received that have helped the following in the past: Together for Lincoln, Pregnancy Resource Center, Lincoln/Logan Food Bank, Salvation Army, National Day of Prayer and other important organizations.  They also oversee the transient fund, which helps stranded motorists and those in need get back home.

If you are a Christian pastor and would like more information on how to be a part of this ministerial association, contact Pastor Larry Crawford at 217-732-4800 or come and join the meeting on Wednesday.

If you would like to make a financial contribution to help the ministerial association in their efforts, feel free to make a check out to LAMA and mail it to LAMA, P.O. Box 161, Lincoln, IL 62656.
