The place to be -- Lincoln Junior High School hosted its annual open house Thursday night and invited visitors to enjoy an ice cream social. LJHS has sixth- through eighth-graders, and this school year's attendance is over 380 students.

Mr. Bob Jones, eighth-grade math teacher, had a welcome screen on his Promethean board displaying a page from the school's website. The junior high has 11 of the high-tech electronic boards and hopes to add more by the end of the school year.

Eighth-grade students Zac McCray and Abby Everson were volunteers who helped to make the ice cream social a success during Lincoln Junior High School's annual open house.

At the end of the evening Mr. Lanning, seventh-grade geography teacher, spoke with Mr. Workman, assistant principal; Mr. Backes, guidance counselor; and Principal Kent Froebe. The administrators served ice cream throughout the evening while teachers met with parents and scheduled conferences for October.
