LC men's soccer leads Region 24 with defeat of Heartland

[September 26, 2011]  Lincoln College men's soccer (7-2, 4-0 in region) defeated Heartland College (6-3, 1-1 in region) by the score of 2-0 on Sunday.

Lincoln scored first when Christian Cabrera won a header that fell to Adrien Sathler, who put the ball away. Nine minutes later, Edwin Moalosi finished the scoring when he slotted a ball to Ruben Gaytan, who beat the keeper to make the score 2-0.

Lincoln held Heartland to no shots on the day while getting 18.

The win puts Lincoln at 4-0 in region.

The Lynx take on Southwestern Illinois College in region play on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
