[September 26, 2011]  The Lincoln College women's soccer team (1-5) beat Northwest Kansas Technical College 2-1 in Lincoln. The ladies battled for a full 90 minutes and were able to secure their first win of the season.

The score was 0-0 at the half, but Lincoln was able to come out and score early in the second half on a Megan Laidler goal. Midway through the second half Brittany Lescher scored from long range to give the Lynx a 2-0 lead. Northwest Tech managed to score one, but the Lynx were able to hold them off to take the win.

"I was happy with the way the ladies came out and battled today," said Lincoln coach Amber Angermeier. "It was good to get some points on the board and come away with the win."
