[September 28, 2011]  Melody A. Anderson, financial representative for Northwestern Mutual, has received the NAIFA Quality Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the industry's leading trade association.

The award recognizes professionalism through education and earned designations, production measured by performance metrics customized for each practice specialty, adherence to the NAIFA Code of Ethics, and service to the industry association.

"The NAIFA Quality Award is more than a measure of an adviser's production," said Terry Headley, immediate past president of the association. "By emphasizing quality client service, education, ethical conduct and service to NAIFA in addition to production, the NAIFA Quality Award is a mark of excellence to be recognized by advisers and consumers alike."

The national association comprises more than 700 state and local associations, representing the interests of approximately 200,000 agents and their associates nationwide.

NAIFA members focus their practices on one or more of the following: life insurance and annuities, health insurance and employee benefits, multiline, and financial advising and investments. The association's mission is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of its members.
