Monday
evening the desk of Mayor Keith Snyder in the city council
chamber was hidden behind a wall of brightly decorated cans. The artwork was done by the students of Carroll Catholic School
and the cans donated to the Lincoln Community Gardens project. The
cans are to be placed around young plants to offer shelter.
Also, plants can be watered inside the cans, saving water and at
the same time putting it where it is needed. Snyder said
other area schools are also working on similar projects for the
gardens this year.

Stress does NOT prevent milk production, but may
temporarily interfere with its flow. Try to find ways
that lessen stress on the mother such as – a protected
area, a mother-baby tent, reassurance from other women –
and keep the child suckling so that milk flow returns.
