Apple, Avon, Express Scripts are market movers

[April 03, 2012]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

NYSE

Avon Products Inc., up $3.34 at $22.70

The door-to-door beauty products seller rejected a $10 billion buyout offer from fragrance maker Coty saying the bid undervalued the company.

Global Payments Inc., down $1.76 at $45.74

The card processor, which is involved in a massive data breach, said Visa Inc. has dropped it from its registry of providers.

Apple Inc., up $19.08 at $618.63

A Topeka Capital Markets analyst set the highest price target yet for shares of the iPad maker, valuing them at $1,001 each.

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp., up 72 cents at $8.47

A Wedbush analyst said the firearms maker could benefit from rising gun sales and said sales of a new handgun could boost its stock price.

Express Scripts Inc., up $1.32 at $55.50

The company completed its $29.1 billion acquisition of Medco Health, creating the country's largest pharmacy benefits manager.

Pinnacle Airlines Corp., down 66 cents at $69

The regional carrier, which flies under contract for other airlines, filed for bankruptcy court protection to deal with its mounting debt.

Towerstream Corp., up 47 cents at $5.22

The 4G service provider said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it signed a Wi-Fi deal with a wireless carrier.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc., down 27 cents at $24.84

A Stifel Nicolaus analyst downgraded shares of the hard flooring retailer to "Hold" from "Buy" citing the company's valuation.
