Mother
Nature and the Plant the Town Red group seem to have joined
forces this year to bring some picturesque beauty to the
streets of Lincoln. The boulevard on Wyatt Avenue is just
one fine example of how spring has sprung all around us.

An
early spring means more than green grass, leafing trees and
blooming tulips in Lincoln. Around town there are several
projects going on as the warm weather allows for construction
crews to get an early start on all their jobs. This home
in the 200 block of Pekin Street is just one example.

Get support--from the lactation consultant, the nurses,
or friends and family members who have breastfed before
and can advise you on how to go about it. What you need
to learn is how to position the baby, how to help baby
get a proper latch onto the breast and what is a proper
latch. Although this is described quite well in books,
it is not the same as having someone experienced in the
art of breastfeeding show you how it is done.
For more information,
contact the breastfeeding peer counselor at the Logan
County Department of Public Health, 217-735-2317, ext.
246.
