[April 12, 2012]  The racing season at Lincoln Speedway will begin Friday.

Friday nights will be even more exciting at the Lincoln Speedway this year. Track promoters Norm and Yvonne Horn have added more sprint car specials, the Summer Nationals Hell Tour is coming back, and NASCAR Night. Also, Lincoln Speedway will be picking up some more cars and great competition with some other area tracks not running.

There will be sprint car races at least once a month in the 2012 season, in addition to the full show. Check the website at www.lincolnspeedwayil.com and click on the "Schedule" tab. Regular shows will consist of UMP Pro Lates, UMP Modifieds, UMP E-Mods, UMP Street Stocks and UMP Compacts.

Gates will open Friday at 3 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30 and racing to begin at 7 p.m.

With gas prices on the rise, as well as everything else, the track owners keep it affordable for the race fans. General admission and pit pass prices will remain the same as last year.
