[April 20, 2012]  PLACENTIA, Calif. -- Mary Ann Buche, 79, of Placentia, Calif., died April 11, 2012.

Mary Ann Buche 79 of Placentia, CA passed away peacefully with family members by her side on April 11, 2012. She was born October 25, 1932 in Pana, IL the daughter of Harry and Mary Fought.

In 1949 the family moved to Crown Point, Indiana where she met and married the love of her life, Elwyn Buche on August 9, 1952. In 1964, Mary Ann and Elwyn moved to Lincoln, IL where they raised their four children.

In 1980 Mary Ann and Elwyn moved to Placentia, CA where they both were active in their Sunday school class and also enjoyed their Thursday evening Bible class at Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, CA. Mary Ann served as a volunteer for 27 years at the Heirloom Shoppe in Fullerton, CA. The Heirloom Shoppe supported programs and funded scholarships at Hope International University, Fullerton, CA.

She is survived by her husband Elwyn of Placentia, CA, son Tim (Fran) Buche of Yorba Linda, CA, daughter Kathie (Dave) Meyer of Lincoln IL, son Steve (Candy) Buche of Lincoln, IL and daughter Shari (Dave) Alley of Yorba Linda, CA.

She had 9 grandchildren, Maribeth (Ben) Cunningham of Santa Monica, CA, Mark Buche of Long Beach, CA, Chris (Betsy) Meyer of Normal, IL, Betsy (Luke) Boyd of Lincoln IL, Zach and Rachel Buche of Lincoln, IL, James, Lauren and Sarah Alley of Yorba Linda, CA and four Great-grandchildren, Ben and Sammie Meyer of Normal, IL and Eli and Lea Boyd of Lincoln, IL.

She is also survived by three siblings, her brother Melvin (Linda) Fought of Merrillville, Indiana and sisters Charlene (George) Marks of Crown Point, Indiana, Betty Stout of Indianapolis Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Fought, and her infant daughter, Katherine.

She was a very loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed by her family and the many friends she made through the years.

A memorial service will be held at Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, CA, at 1:30 p.m. on April 27, 2012
Interment will be at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, CA.
