The last three awards given out at the annual tourism breakfast on Friday morning were the Business of the Year Award, the CENTS recognition and the Lifetime Friend of Tourism Award.

Richard Sumrall and the Lincoln Public Library were given the Business of the Year Award.

The award for the Community Event Needing Tourism Support was given to the Lincoln Corn Maze.

Sen. Larry Bomke was the last guest of the day.  Bomke is leaving office this year, and the event gave many of his friends a chance to wish him well in the future.

Bomke has a history of supporting the tourism bureau and Logan County on the whole. Last week it seemed only fitting as he prepares to leave office that he receive the Lifetime Friend of Tourism Award.

As an added surprise for Logan County's longtime "Abe," special cakes were provided to celebrate Charlie Ott's birthday.

At the end of the program, everyone was invited to linger a while and enjoy a piece of cake or at least take home a piece to eat later.
