Illinois country grain prices were
mostly higher on Thursday afternoon. Good weekly export sales
figures and good export demand pushed soybean futures higher for
the day. In the cash grain market, trading was moderate. The
cash corn basis was steady to 2 cents higher at many river
terminals, while the cash soybean basis was steady to 4 cents
lower at many soybean processors.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids 12 to 14 cents higher at 6.07-6.21. Soybean
bids traded 6 to 8 cents higher at 14.56-14.64.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were mostly 6 to 10 cents higher at 6.11-6.33. Soybean bids
were mostly 3 to 7 cents higher at 14.58-14.69.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 12 to
13 cents higher at 6.24-6.46. Soybean bids were 4 to 6 cents
higher at 14.63-14.86. Wheat bids were 9 to 10 cents higher at
6.10-6.29.
