[April 27, 2012]  Madrid (AP) -- Spain's king has undergone another operation on his hip, which he broke when he fell during a controversial hunting trip to Africa.

A royal palace statement says 74-year-old Juan Carlos was taken to San Jose Hospital late Thursday after he dislocating his right hip.

The palace says he is recovering satisfactorily. A medical report is due to be released later Friday.

The king came in for heavy criticism earlier this month when it was revealed that he had broken his hip during the unannounced hunting trip to Botswana that came as Spain writhes in a severe economic crisis.

The king later made an unprecedented public apology for his actions.
