[August 02, 2012]  LINCOLN -- Phyllis I. Morrow, 82, of Lincoln, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at 12:40 a.m. at The Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Lincoln- Phyllis I. Morrow, 82, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 12:40 a.m. at The Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.

A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln with Simon Taabu officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln. 

Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis Irene Morrow was born on October 22, 1929 in Lincoln the daughter of Ben F. and Clara E. Routson Morrow.

She is survived by one sister: Joan Friel of Mundelein, Il., also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Mary Knollenberg and Eleanor Murray.

Funeral Director

Phyllis graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1947.

She retired from Logan Correctional Center and formerly worked at Malerich Cleaners.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and volunteer at the Pink Shutter.

Aunt Phyl will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews and extended family members. She will be fondly remembered by patrons of Malerich Cleaners and colleagues as a kind soul who loved cats.

Memorials may be made to The Christian Village Nursing Home or to Holy Family Catholic Church.
