The 4-H Horse Show participants display
knowledge and skill in handling their horses, "horsemanship,"
through a variety of competitions. There are a number of
categories that are divided by age or by skill levels in years of
experience. The horses are haltered and walked, or ridden onto the
field to follow patterns and instructions.
