The 4-H, Jr. and Open Dairy Show was on Wednesday at the Logan County Fairgrounds. The event brought in a large number of animals, though there was a limited number of exhibitors.

In Logan County the Irwin Family and the Hoerberts are predominant in the dairy shows. On the 4-H level especially, it is interesting to note that the kids often wear their "colors." Generally this will be white jeans and a colored shirt. The Irwins, for example, wear red, while Laura Rankin wears orange.

This year's top placers were:

GRAND CHAMPION HEIFER OVER ALL BREEDS -- Sarah Irwin
GRAND CHAMPION COW OVER ALL BREEDS -- Kaleb Hoerbert
SR. SHOWMANSHIP -- Sarah Irwin
