Sunday evening the Logan
County Fair came to an end with the annual demolition derby. This year there were several cars competing, especially in the
Compact
class. The grandstand was
full of spectators, and the midfield on the inside of the track was
lined with folks sitting in the back of their pickup trucks or
standing as close as they were allowed to be to the action.
One notable event came with the winning of the first
heat. Dylan Vaughn won the Stock class at the
age of only 15. When he made his way up to the stage, the
announcer quickly commented that he was the youngest driver on the
field and didn't actually
even have a driver's license.
