LINCOLN COMMUNITY HIGH
SCHOOL PARTNERS WITH DODGE!
On
Saturday at band practice from 10 a.m. to
1:30 p.m. at Lincoln Community High School,
there will be a
fundraiser for the high school band with the help of
the Dodge brand and Lincoln Chrysler Dodge & Jeep.
Dodge has a
program that combines support for high school
enrichment programs with exposure for the new
Dodge Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan. The whole community is invited to participate.
Anyone 18 or over with a valid driver’s
license can join in.
Lincoln Chrysler Dodge &
Jeep will bring new Dodge vehicles to the
school. LCHS will earn
$20 from Dodge for every person who takes a
brief test drive and completes a short survey.
Local dealership staff has volunteered to help
facilitate the fundraising test drives.

John United Church of Christ recently presented scholarship
gifts to college students from the church. Pictured at far
left is Sandy Sanders,
who accepted the gift for her granddaughter Lindsay Sanders.
Lindsay will continue her studies at Lincoln College in nursing.
Next in line, continuing to the right, Orry Ingram is a senior at Truman University in Kirksville,
Mo., and is majoring in agriculture. Matthew Goetsch, a
junior at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, is studying geographic
information systems, or GIS. Brittany Kincheloe, a senior
at Millikin in Decatur, is majoring in communications and
business. Morgan Kincheloe will be a freshman at Millikin,
pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Megan Kurtz is
attending Illinois State University in Normal and majoring in
communications. Ashley Paulus is attending the University of
Illinois and majoring in sports management. Nathan Aue’s gift was
accepted by his grandmother, Tonita Reifsteck, at far right. Nathan is a
senior at Eastern Illinois University and is majoring in sports
management. The scholarship gifts were presented by the
president of
the council, Edna Mara, and the Rev. Rich Reinwald.
