Midwest Technical Institute summer open house

[August 14, 2012]  SPRINGFIELD -- Midwest Technical Institute will host a summer open house at the Springfield campus, 2731 Farmers Market Road, on Aug. 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. MTI welcomes the general public and those interested in the school to come by and see the campus. The instructors and staff will be on hand to give tours and help answer any questions about the workforce training programs.

MTI currently has workforce training programs in the mechanical trades and allied health. The school has programs in journeyman welding, HVAC -- major appliance repair, medical assisting, medical coding, dental assisting, pharmacy tech. and massage therapy.

For those interested in enrollment, admissions and financial aid staff will be available to answer questions as well as to assist with enrollment paperwork and applying for financial aid. Stop by and see what MTI has to offer.

Other items of interest:

• There will be student demonstrations with public interaction opportunities.

• Free chair massages will be performed by massage therapy students.

• Door prizes will be given every hour.

• Free food and drinks will be available.
