Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation announces citizen and alumni awards reception and fundraiser banquet

[August 22, 2012]  MOUNT PULASKI -- The Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation will celebrate Mount Pulaski's outstanding citizens and alumni at a reception and banquet Sept. 6 at the Mount Pulaski Legion Hall.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Cocktails will be at 6 and dinner at 7. Following dinner there will be a brief discussion about the foundation at 8 p.m., and the awards ceremony will take place at 8:30.

Tickets can be purchased at Salt Creek Attic, Farmers Bank, INB and Johnson's True Value.

All proceeds go to the foundation that has been created to fund the maintenance and repair of the historic Mount Pulaski Courthouse, the 1848-1855 Logan County seat in the 8th Judicial Circuit, in which Abraham Lincoln, Judge David Davis and Stephen A. Douglas practiced law.
